Prof. Dr. M. Zaim, M. Hum got a Doctoral degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 1998. He entitled his dissertation “The Acquisition of Questions by Indonesian Adult Learners of English as a Foreign Language”. He is an academic at Padang State University. He obtained the position of Professor (Professor) of Linguistics in 2003. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Doctoral Study Program (Doctoral) in Language Teacher Training (IKB) at the Language and Arts Faculty, Padang State University. Previously, M. Zaim served as Dean of the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) at Padang State University for 2 (two) periods, namely 2011-2015, and 2015-2019.
Prof. Dr.M. Zaim, M.Hum has written some books related to Evaluation of English Reading Literacy Assessment, Development of authentic literacy model, Development of Communicative Games-Based Problem Based Learning Model, Development of Online-Based Intensive Reading Course Learning Process, and Development of Authentic Assessment Model of Speaking and Writing Skills from 2017 to 2021
